"Occhiolism" by David Li & Siyan Sriganeshan
We wanted our paddle to follow the style of the traditional Chinese ink scroll paintings reflecting the theme of the recognizable landscapes of Guilin, China.
The story behind the paddle is/can be initially unclear to the viewer, but we hope by using the black and white colour scheme it would encapsulate a thousand or even a million lives. We would like our viewers to be reminded of something they had, wanted, and/or achieved.
That hope is never lost within the ALS community.
This paddle was submitted as a group trek alongside other members of Middlefield Collegiate Institute.
