"Ocean Sunset and Blue Cornflower" by Daniel Kozina
Painted by local visual, digital, and tattoo artist Daniel Kozina. Artwork inspired by the memory of his grandmother, Patricia, his aunt Annagrace (Patricia’s daughter), his great aunt Dorothy (Patricia’s sister), and Dottie Lou (Dorothy’s daughter). All who have lost their lives to ALS. They all loved the beach and the ocean; Annagrace visited Rehoboth Beach every year until her passing in January 2019. The Blue Cornflower was chosen to symbolize ALS as it is a hardy wild flower, despite its fragile appearance. This describes all of these women very well and many others who suffer from ALS. The four knots in the rope symbolize each of our family members that we have lost to ALS.
This paddle is accompanied by an Outdoor Party-sized Stacking Blocks game.
