"Northern Paddler's Moments" by Stoney Mountain Dental Care
As a lifelong Canadian, growing up in Ontario, our family weekends were spent in Nature on our near the water. I learned to paddle at an early age and it was a love that remains with me today.
Today, I am still a nature nut, the forests and lakes of Ontario are the places where we feel most at home. When deciding on a subject for this paddle, I wanted to represent those moments that we all get so excited to see or hear when immersed in our Canadian nature.
The Grey Wolf - rarely seen but often heard. Their haunting beautiful calls will give you goose bumps and a story to tell.
The Moose - to see one in nature from the seat of a canoe or the side of a trail will stay with you forever.
The Black Bear - while many fear them, I prefer the term "Respect". Knowing they share the woods with us puts the world "Wild" in wilderness.
Inukshuk - a part of Inuit and Canadian history, once used for navigation and communication, it has become a symbol of the Canadian North, and unity amongst nature travellers.
