Grizz (PRO)

12x14 Acrylic on Canvas.

Massive, illusive and intelligent, these animal’s formidable character does not betray their real vulnerability in the face of a changing environment.  This work reflects a Grizzly’s complex identity.

Meghan Spence studied painting at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver, BC.  Her work is collected around North America and shows regularly in galleries and art spaces throughout the Province.  Her roots are in the Okanagan Valley where she began as a self-taught artist and muralist.  She explores themes at the intersection of human interaction with natural environments, landscape and sense of place.  Her love of the outdoors is often a springboard for her inspiration as well as how she spends her free time.  Meghan creates out of her studio in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia.
