Forest Guardian (PRO)

24x24" Acrylic + India Ink on MDF board. I wanted to keep this painting a little bit fantasy based since fantasy art is my main genre, so I took some inspiration from Miyazaki and created a forest guardian keeping watch in the woods. Pacific Wild's campaign to end the wolf cull is very close to my heart. I'd rather the world see them as beautiful animals deserving respect than just misunderstood predators. I hope the sale of this painting can supplement what donations I manage to make personally to help bring this campaign home! This wolf is one I met and photographed at Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary in Rosseau, Ontario. A beauty, I was just waiting for a chance to paint her. The first photo is lit outdoors on a cloudy day, and the second is indoors with warm led lighting. I hope she finds a good home! Thanks for reading, -Christina Bindon
