Andy Skaff Original 20"x20" Oil Painting

Here is your chance to own an authentic original by local Plein artist Andy Skaff. Plein is the practice of painting in the "open-air" became popular with the Impressionists in the 19th century. Andy is a master at capturing landscapes' rare beauty in his vibrant, light-filled paintings.

Andy has been honored with solo shows in San Francisco and Lake Tahoe galleries and has exhibited at the Napa Valley Museum, the Oil Painters of America Western Regional Exhibit in Santa Barbara, and the Yosemite Renaissance semiannual exhibit. He is currently being featured at the de Young Open.  Andy's paintings were featured for over a decade in installations at Gump's San Francisco. The Ritz Carlton Highlands, Lake Tahoe, the Larkspur Hotel Group, Tahoe Forest Cancer Center, and Martis Camp have purchased his work for their permanent collections. With a clear eye and bold strokes of the brush, Andy endows his remarkable paintings with all the vivid color, contrast, and splendor of the Western landscape and its urban treasures.

Winner will be responsible for picking up the prize at The Foundation's office in Tahoe City, or coordinate with The Foundation to arrange for shipping at cost.

Join us in celebrating the breadth and depth of artistic creation in the Bay Area with The de Young Open. Artworks by over 700 Bay Area artists will be on view in a unique wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling display at the de Young museum. Book a General Admission ticket (for October 10 or after) to gain entry to The de Young Open. All museum guests—including members—must reserve timed-entry tickets to enter. We recommend booking your tickets in advance online.
