It is a continuation of a body of work that looks at the relationship between humans and nature, and the need for connection. In this piece, (inspired by the sculptural work of Nathalie Grice) a girl has fashioned herself a narwhal mask in an attempt to communicate with the narwhals of the wild.
The auction will go “live” at 12:00PM on Monday, June 22 and will conclude at 12:00PM on Monday, July 06. We are asking each artist to choose one work valued between $200 and $500 to be placed in the online auction platform. Bidding would start at 70% of the stated price. The auction platform will add a 5% surcharge to be paid by the buyer. The works sold would be delivered by the artist to the school, which can later be picked up by the buyer, all in a safe, social distancing environment. All works will be listed as “unframed” unless stated otherwise.
Before you bid: You must register for an account with Charity Auctions Today prior to bidding. The process is simple and the auction website will prompt you to do so upon placing a bid. Just follow through the steps to complete the registration and then place your bid. This information is important for ensuring that you receive your artwork on time and payments are accurately processed. And it's a good idea to register ahead of time!
