Artist Bio

James Michael Ostlund draws his inspiration and information directly from life. Ostlund's teacher was part of a direct lineage of master artists dating back to the 19th century French Academies and beyond through his teacher R.H. Ives Gammell in Boston.

Ostlund continues to paint commissioned portraiture as well as concentrate on personal work. His paintings are held in many private and public collections worldwide.
